The 17th Biennial Molecular and Cellular Biology of Soybean Conference and 10th World Soybean Research Conference (WSRC10) Travel Award 

Purpose

A limited number of travel awards supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) are available for students, postdocs and early career faculty who present a poster or are selected for oral presentations at the 17th Biennial Molecular and Cellular Biology of Soybean Conference and 10th World Soybean Research Congress (WSRC10). The Travel Award is intended to help offset the costs of travel or lodging or registration fees for students, postdocs and early career faculty who attend the conference.

Eligibility and Review Process

WSRC10 Travel Award applicants must be undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, or early career faculty from U.S. institutions involved in the work on Soybean Molecular and Cellular Biology/Breeding/Genetics as required by NSF.

All applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the following criteria: 1) research achievement (conference abstract); 2) personal statement and career interest; 3) justification for attendance and financial support; and 4) support letter.

In order to qualify, an applicant must present a poster or be selected for an oral presentation at the WSRC10.

To apply, please complete the WSRC10 Travel Award Application form (click here or click graphic to download the form) and email it to Dr. Zenglu Li (zli@uga.edu). You will need to attach the following documents to the travel award application:

  • An abstract of the poster or oral presentation to be presented
  • A one-page letter of support and confirmation of student/postdoc status from your advisor or department head

When emailing your application, please save all required documents as a single PDF file and use your last name as the file name.
